To be transparent, the DashCon 2 team did very little planning for what a second convention would look like in advance of the first convention, because we didn’t want to get our hopes up. We needed to know for certain that this was a reasonable path to embark on before taking on the administrative labour of planning a whole second convention. If we wanted to really scale up capacity we would need a bigger venue, and therefore would have needed to book larger convention space more than a year in advance. That was just not possible at the time.
We estimated that we could scale up in capacity if we delayed the follow-up convention to 2027, or scale up in duration for 2026. Our decision is to do both; DashCon 2 will be about the same size but two days long in 2026 (Sat-Sun, Aug 1-2), and expand in both duration and capacity at a larger venue in 2027.
Tickets are divided into three types: Weekend, Saturday, and Sunday. 450 Weekend tickets will be made available, as well as 200 Saturday tickets and 100 Sunday tickets. These numbers are very small, and we completely understand wanting to avoid a kerfuffle and waiting to buy a ticket in 2027.
Duration
Regardless of start time, the convention’s doors will open 30 minutes early on both days for folks with reduced mobility/other accessibility requirements.

Accessibility
DashCon 2 offers a variety of accessibility accommodations to reduce barriers for disabled attendees. This year, accessibility wristbands will be replaced with accessibility stickers that will go on top of badges. (The three types of badges will be distinct enough in colour that covering up part of the badge with a sticker is not of concern.) More information on accessibility stickers will come soon, and if you have any questions, feel free to message accessibility@dashcontwo.com.
As always, thank you for your steadfast support of DashCon 2 🙂
