Artist Alley/Vendor’s Hall (“Dealer’s Hall”) is a space for independent artisans to sell print media, handmade crafts, or other merchandise.

Booth Details
Each booth is a 6’x3′ space, with a 6’x2′ table and up to 2 chairs available. Each booth will cost $135.60 CAD ($120+ 13% HST), but a 10% discount will be available for Black and Indigenous vendors. Booths include admission for one vendor. An assistant/additional vendor sharing the booth must pay an additional $39.55 CAD ($35 + 13% HST).
Applications will be open until all of our slots are filled. Booths will be assigned on a first come, first serve basis, except in the case that we recieve an extraordinary number of applications. In this case, a lottery system will be used to assign booths. In this case, our team may take up to 4 weeks to process your application.
Application Requirements
All applicants must fulfill the following requirements.
- Applicant(s) must represent their own body of work/that of their team in their application, applications cannot be submitted by a representative or agent. Applications cannot include work created involving the use of Generative AI technology or commercially published works/works represented by a commercial publisher.
- Applicant(s) must be at least 18 years of age or older by July 1st, 2024, and able to supply a government-issued ID.
If your application is selected, you will be contacted by our team within 21 days, and recieve follow up information, including a copy of our Dealer’s Hall Policy and Contract Agreement. You will recieve an online invoice after your booth is confirmed and your contract submitted. More information, and further registration requirements are outlined below.
Registration Requirements
All applicants must fulfill the following
- Provide 3+ example images of their work
- Have a website or social media page for their work that includes images of the items they intend to sell
- In the case that they application is accepted, they must supply a preliminary merchandise list and have all listed items approved
- Have read and understood both the DashCon 2 Code of Conduct and the Dealer’s Hall Policy
- Have a government-issued ID valid for July 5th, 2025, for the sign-in process
Open Hours
Vendors may arrive to set up their booths at 7:45AM, doors will open to the public from 9:30AM to 9:30PM. Vendors can start closing up around 8:45PM, and must exit the building by 11PM (These times may be subject to slight change).
Regulations for Merchandise
Artists may sell and create their crafts and merchandise in the Dealer’s Hall, so long as the content sold at their table does not include copyrighted images that are already licensed by other companies. Only the artwork of the artists registered to the table may be sold at that table.
Prohibited Merchandise includes, but is not limited to:
- Any merchandise produced using Generative AI technology (including both text and images) is not allowed
- Solicitation merchandise such as “Will trade __ for __” or “Where’s my hug” is not permitted for sale
- Any merchandise featuring hate speech, discriminatory language, offensive political messaging, or otherwise harmful messaging, is not allowed
- Any work, reproductions, or merchandise with copyrighted materials and/or trademarked logos and/or designs; this includes use of official logos and copyrighted symbols
- Replication of existing merchandise such as official merchandise from other licensed creations or artworks depicting trademarks or copyrighted logos are not allowed
- The resale of food, used goods, or retail items (like novelty chocolates or second-hand items) is not allowed
- The sale of cosmetic items is not allowed, this includes but is not limited to makeup, fragrances, contact lenses, tattooing, etc
- Items intended for sexual stimulation are not allowed, this includes but is not limited to adult toys, lube, condoms, etc
If you are unsure if an item is permitted, please contact dealershall@dashcontwo.com with an image and description of the item in question.
The use of Official or Trademarked names of characters (or their licenced names in any language) is prohibited for use on displays. Please refrain from marking merchandise with Licenced or Trademarked names and use creative names instead to avoid breaching Trademarks and Copyrights.
Crochet items (such as plushies, garments, etc) are permitted, but vendors may be asked for production/progress images.
The DashCon 2 team reserves the right to request the removal of any items violating this policy. In the case of severe violations (such as the sale of Generative AI materials), the offending vendor(s)’s admission pass will be revoked, and they will be asked to leave the convention. No refunds will be offered for revoked passes.
Displays
Vendors may organized their reserved space as they seem fit, so long as the space is safe, accessible, does not interefer with other vendors’ booths, and/or violate DashCon 2/The Japanese Canadian Cultural Center’s safety regulations.
Displays may not be over 10ft (3.05m) tall, including the height of your table, or extend more that 2 feet (61 cm) behind your table. Displays behind your booth may not encroach on your neighbours space, nor block any emergency signs or exits. They must be able to stand freely (not on boxes, your table, or taped to the floor), and may not encourage attendees/other unauthorized people to go behind your booth (ie: no backdrops for photos).
Balloons will not be permitted for use in displays.
Tables and chairs supplied to participants by the venue cannot be used as ladders or supports for displays. The participant confirms that the convention and the venue will not be liable for any injuries sustained by the mentioned activity before, during, and after the convention as stated in their contract.
Participants will not be allowed to pin/tape/glue/otherwise affix any items to the wall of the building. Alteration of the JCCC’s property (including but not limited to drilling, nailing, glueing, etc) is strictly forbidden. Vendors will be liable for any damages to property of the JCCC/DashCon 2 that occur as a result of their display.
If any part of a vendor’s display falls or harms another participant or attendee, they will be liable for these injuries and asked to immediately take down the display.
Adult Content
Adult content includes, but is not limited to, any paraphernalia that is sexual, obscene, or extremely graphic. Generally speaking, if it isn’t allowed under the new Tumblr guidelines, it’s probaly adult content.
Vendors at DashCon 2 are permitted to sell adult/18+/NSFW content under the following conditions:
- Such artwork cannot be openly displayed in the dealer’s hall (ie: it must be kept under the table or in a closed binder)
- Vendors must verify the age of their customers before exhibiting or selling such artwork
- Vendors must provide an opaque bag to conceal such artwork while on convention grounds
Vendors found violating this rule will have their admission revoked and will be asked to leave the venue. If you are unclear if your merchandise qualifies as adult content, please contact us at dealershall@dashcontwo.com
