The ball is officially rolling regarding DashCon 2 announcements. We’re happy to say that convention maps and preliminary programs will be uploaded to our website sometime in May! (This goes for both physical and virtual DashCon 2.)
Today we thought we would show you some of DashCon 2’s stage programming. We have a lot to cover all in one day!
Cosplay Catwalk/Competition
To start the day off right, we’ll be having a cosplay catwalk! We welcome all kinds, from Miku to Miku Binder Thomas Jefferson. (In fact, you may have spotted our co-founder wandering around as MB Jefferson at last year’s Anime North.) Whether you’ve worked tirelessly on your cosplay for years or whipped it together in a three-day con crunch fervor, we want to see you on stage!
Sign-ups will open online the day before, but day-of registration is available too. Joining the competition part is totally optional.
But are there prizes, though?
Yes! We’re not sure yet if there will be more than a medal or trophy, but there will be at least a medal or trophy. It will be bedazzled. Scout’s honour.

We just want to once again spotlight our fundraiser for the Canadian Cancer Society. Everyone on the team was so touched by your generosity and your stories mean so much to every one of us. Times are hard right now, but if you have the space for it, we encourage you to send a few bucks their way.
DashCon 2’s Idol Showcase
DashCon 2 is partnering with Toronto Tenshi to put on a magical idol show for you all!
Toronto Tenshi is a collective of experienced idols from the Greater Toronto Area, coming together with one goal: to create opportunities for idols, by idols. We aim to build supportive, inclusive stages where performers of all experience levels can grow, shine, and share their passion with the community. Whether you’re a seasoned veteran or just starting your idol journey, we believe everyone deserves a moment in the spotlight. With a love for performance and a spirit of collaboration, Toronto Tenshi is here to help aspiring idols take their next big step. Wondahoy! Let’s build the idol scene we’ve always dreamed of.

Toronto Tenshi will be recruiting idols very soon! To stay updated, make sure to follow their Instagram and keep an eye on your favourite GTA idol discord servers 🙂
